Juan Calderon Abos-Padilla is a Chilean painter. Born in 1943, this is under the apprenticeship of the watercolorist Ivan Contreras that his career begins. He joins a Chilean crew of artists in which he is rapidly well regarded circa 1970. Those artists are particularly known for their works of ceramic walls. From 1971, Abos-Padilla starts painting studies at the University of Chile.

His paintings are found at the Sans-Souci Gallery in Caracas and in Peruvian and Colombian galleries as well. In 1989, he goes in Spain where he participates to many exhibitions and improves his artistic techniques.
