1907 - 1998
Blanche Bolduc was born in 1907 in the village of Baie-Saint-Paul in the Quebec region of Charlevoix. Self-educated painter, she is known as the partner of her sister Yvonne, painter as well. Bolduc begins to paint in 1966 and participate to many exhibitions in Quebec and Ontario. In 1972 and 1976, she participates to few exhibitions in France, making her international reputation out of Canada.

In 1976, she wins a medal of the Académie des arts, sciences et lettres in Paris. Her art reflects the colonial society of Quebec and is regarded as historical sources for the society.
The art pieces of Bolduc are part of many important public collections as the Musée national des beaux-arts de Québec, Musée McCord of Montreal, Musée de Charlevoix, McGill University and the National Gallery of Canada.
