Madeleine Tailleur was born in 1945 in Montréal. She studied at the Marguerite Bourgeoys College and participated in workshops directed by Georges de Rome and Alex Bertrand. In 1975, she developed her own style using a unique colour palette.

She paints portraits and landscapes in a deeply personal poetic style. Her scenes remind us of the Romantic period and are characterised by their transparence, their fluidity and their inherent light.
Her works are part of numerous private collections.
