I was always fascinated by the human body. As a painter at first, I explored its lines, its colours, its surfaces. I studied it as the receptacle of our soul and our emotions, but as well as the surface which keeps the marks of time, which leaves traces as it passes by.

Discovering sculpture and the third dimension was a moment of grace in my life as an artist. Working with clay has allowed me to look for new secrets in the richness of the human body.
In sculpture as well as in painting, adding textures or new materials answers time’s questioning. All of our emotions and memories are part of our body; they are anchored in it and constantly leave traces, like wrinkles on our skin. In my sculptures, the different textures or the cracks in the clay are telling these stories.
My characters present to you their lives… and their emotions!
Solitude, awe, supplication, a search of meaning, questioning, fullness, tenderness, freedom…
