Opened in 2015 by a businesswoman, who happened to be both a passionate art lover and collector. Douce Passion rapidly became a center of attraction for Art lovers and collectors. The gallery shows the works of renowned Quebec and Canadian artists and is known to carry a vast inventory of such works to please everyone’s taste. Each work in the gallery is carefully selected adding to the gallery’s reputation as the gallery to visit.
The gallery has on hand a wide selection of works by such renowned artists as Jean-Paul Lemieux, Marc-Aurele Fortin, René Richard, Albert Rousseau Jean-Paul Riopelle, M.A. Suzor-Coté, Francesco Iacurto, Betty Baldwin, Claude A. Simard to name but of few of the gallery’s impressive collection.
Adjacent to the mural artwork, The Fresque des Québécois situated at the bottom of Mountain Hill- Cote de la Montagne and on the corner of Notre Dame Street, the gateway to Place Royale- birthplace of Nouvelle France. A visit to this part of the city would surely be incomplete without stopping in to see the art on display at Douce Passion, where some of the artists are already in museums.
