Born in Brême in Germany, this Polish painter studied art in Dusseldorf at the famous Künst Akademie in Westphalia. After working in Europe, he settled down in Quebec city in 1959. Upon his arrival, he fell in love with the city and its areas, and never stopped painting them. Very versatile, he painted the various landscapes of his new country, as well as numerous portraits, murals and still life. After naturalistic and realistic periods, he then favored an impressionist style which let him free to play with his subjects. His main exibits were in Quebec city, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa.

His works can be found in European and American houses and galleries, from New Orleans to Vancouver. His murals can be admired on several Quebec city buildings and on the walls of the Canadian army in Raastatt in BaleWürtemberg.
