Jeanne d’Arc Leclerc was born on March 8, 1920 in Grand-mère, in Mauricie.
She studied drawing and painting at l’École des Beaux-arts of Quebec for five years and she started her career at the beginning of the 60s’. She has taken part in many group and solo exhibits from 1967 to 1984 in Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa and San Francisco. Her figurative style made by spatula and her vivid colors make her artwork cheerful and full of light. She made several trips to the United States, Spain, Hawaii, Canada and Quebec from where she brought back many beautiful landscapes.
Jeanne d’Arc is a founding member of the Institute of Figurative Art. She has offered her paintings to various charitable foundations.
Her artwork is part of several public and private collections around the world.
