1964 -

Maryse Proulx, a Quebec artist, was born in Estrie in 1964. Her passion for the arts led her to complete her studies at Laval University in Quebec with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Certificate in Arts Education. In 1989, she moved officially to Quebec City. That same year, she was accepted as a portraitist on Sainte-Anne Street in Old Quebec City and decided at that time to devote herself entirely. Since 1992, she devotes time to teaching drawing and soft pastels while simultaneously deepening her self-taught pastel education. She has had many exhibitions and painting symposiums. She exhibits across Quebec, and in some places in Europe.
