Born on November 17, 1939, in France, Alain Lacaze studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1963 to 1966. Based in Quebec City since 1980, he also exhibits permanently in France, the United States, and Japan. His work is one of suggestion. The painter knows how to capture the subtle variations of light and convey the visual impression experienced before nature or the architecture of the city. Both painter and printmaker, his art is closely tied to the great traditions of classical painting.
