Terry Tomalty was born in Montréal in 1935. This self-taught artist has known a remarkable success since his very beginnings and quickly gained the affection of collectors in Canada and throughout the world. His works are part of numerous private and corporative collections, including the Royal Bank of Canada and the collection of the Montréal Canadiens.

Mainly known for his hockey scenes, he has also done landscapes and still-lifes. His brushstroke is powerful and distinctive. Many solo exhibitions of his work were organized during his career.
