Jean-Guy Meunier has been actively painting for more than forty years and he is one of the founding members of the Canadian Society of Aquarellists. He specialized in oil, acrylic, water colours and ink as mediums of expressing his art.
His work shows the influences of Realism and European Impressionism, his style is also tainted by Québec and American schools of expression in both his treatment of the medium and the pictorial organisation of his subject.
His works can be found in many collections in Canada and in Europe as well as many exhibitions.
